LPZ Management is Hiring a Leasing Agent Near Plainfield, NJ

Position: Leasing Agent

Schedule: 40 hours/week; flexibility in days required

# of properties: 2 total (Plainfield and South Bound Brook); subject to change based on business needs

Job Description: Showing and renting apartments to qualified applicants and maintaining a low vacancy rate. Conduit between residents and management.

Reports directly to the Management Office and works closely with the Maintenance Manager and Property Manager on all business related matters.

Commission eligible position

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Answers and replies to all phone/internet leads and pre-qualifies prospective residents.

· Sets up and confirms appointments with prospective residents to tour apartments and receive applications.

· Creates a positive and exciting environment encouraging prospects to tour the property.

· Communicates the qualification standards to prospective residents.

· Follows up with the prospective residents, obtains all required paperwork in a timely manner to expedite the rental process.

· Runs credit reports and processes the applications.

· Sends the completed application and all required backup information to the corporate office for review and approval/denial.

· Coordinates the lease signing, prepares the lease and other documents prior to move-in.

· Follows up with the main office to determine delivery schedule for the apartment.

· Welcomes the new residents, performs a walk through and presents the keys.

· Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administration
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
- Knowledge of legal requirements related to leasing agreements and contracts
- Understanding of Fair Housing regulations and guidelines
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with tenants
- Proficiency in software for property management purposes
- Familiarity with upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
